Samuel & Jimmy first met at a culinary school in 2010. Both are originally from the island of Sumatera. By chance, their paths crossed again several years later, when they started cooking at the same establishments. The fire was lit and they have only become a stronger team.
6 years ago, they came to Denmark burning for more experience and challenges. It has always been their shared dream and belief that they would create something beautiful together. Food provides inspiration to them on a daily basis.
Today they are both proud and humbled to announce that they will start a new exciting chapter on this journey! We would like to present to you ‘saji’, their new restaurant.
In Indonesian, saji means to serve or present, and for them it means to deliver flavourful ideas, kindness and genuine hospitality. They are full of joy to serve Indonesian cuisine in Copenhagen, Denmark. Focused on fresh, memorable and straightforward dishes paired with their mastery of the kitchen, will serve satisfaction for all in the dining room. saji will become a place to share the love for good food and to have a great time.
